Bright, juicy, blue fruits flow onto the palate which is medium to full bodied. Briary spice, black olive and minty hints adds to the complexity with a touch of oak sweetness and silky tannins, which lengthen the fruitful and velvety finish.
Good winter rains and warmer temperatures in early spring brought about slightly earlier bud burst and excellent shoot growth. A lovely growing season with no crazy, stormy or very windy northerly weather to affect flowering resulted in a great fruit set across all varieties. However, the northern Barossa, and a few other seemingly random patches of vineyard, were hit by late frosts resulting in a huge loss for that sub region. After a quite chilly Christmas and New Year the warm and dry weather was upon us, perfect ripening weather. An early and fast vintage for the Barossa Valley had Langmeil at full fermentation capacity for three and a half weeks meaning 75% of the grape intake in less than a month! The later ripening varieties like Grenache and Mataro still took their time and of course Eden Valley Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are always late – so vintage soon wound down to a leisurely pace ending in the middle of April. Overall 2015 was an excellent vintage with great flavour, colour and intensity across the board.

Red Stylish, with intense licorice, mint and eucalyptus notes that add an aromatic edge to the core of chocolate-laced cherry, plum and raspberry flavors, showing plenty of intensity on the finish. A juicy quality to the fruit flavors mingles with the thick, velvety tannins and lingering spice details.See detailed press review

Mint, cedar, cassis and plum swirl together on the nose of the 2015 Jackaman's Cabernet Sauvignon, one of Langmeil's hallmark wines. Full-bodied and supple, it's the kind of ripe, rich Cabernet you can drink alone by the fire on a chilly evening or pair with steaks, roasts and the like. Likewise, you can drink now, in the flush of its youth, or put some in the cellar for up to a decade. It's a lovely all-around performer this vintage.See detailed press review

Attractive mulberries and red plums, as well as cassis and blueberry on the nose. Some leafy notes, too. This has ample juicy and succulent tannins, carrying the lively fruit flavours into the finish.See detailed press review
