    May 2016

A top red that shows wonderful black currant, spice, fresh tobacco, and light chocolate. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a beautiful finish. So linear and refined. Yet muscular and long. Needs time to show its true outstanding quality. A superb wine. 80% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc, 5% merlot and 5% petit verdot. From grapes grown in the Apalta subregion. Drink or hold.

    March 2018

M comes from a single vineyard on the slopes of Apalta. It’s a dense, compact, ambitious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, lashings of new oak, plush, glossy tannins and impressive concentration.

"Riple, alluring aromas of violet petal, sugar cookie and blackerry lead to a firm palate with structure and length. Complete flavours of soy sauce, tea, baking spices and blackberry finish with a flash of choclaty oak and a note of burnt toast. Drink this vintage of Montes' top wine through 2018"
