  • About this winery

Olivier Humbrecht is one of the world's most renowned winegrowers. He is a Master of Wine and has been described by Robert Parker as the greatest white winemaker on earth. Sourced from the younger vines, planted between 1978 and 1986, of one of Alsace's most famous vineyards, the extremely steep Rangen de Thann (pictured in the banner above). This is a spectacular bargain given the site the wine hails from.

This is so fresh and rich at the same time. Full-bodied and layered. Lots of sliced pineapple, salt and white pepper. Wow. This is made occasionally when the younger vine wines are better than to go in the blend, but not good enough to go in the grand cru bottling. Made from biodynamically grown grapes."

    2015

Vibrant and zesty, a medium-bodied white with racy acidity reined in by the well-knit flavor range of yellow peach, candied pink grapefruit zest, blanched almond and ground pink peppercorn notes. The dense, mouthwatering finish echoes a streak of smoky minerality.
