Medium-bodied with just enough tannin presence to give the wine character, this year’s Merlot has rich, expressive fruit, a velvety texture and fragrant spice notes. TASTING PROFILE Appearance: Purple magenta Aromas: Blueberry, cherry, cinnamon, tobacco leaves Flavors: Blackberry, cassis, anise, toasted woods
The 2014 growing season was extremely dry and warm. Sunny summer days ripened the fruit ahead of schedule, setting us up for an unusually early harvest. When the fruit was brought in, it showed wonderful concentration, great palate density and a good balance of natural acidity.

Smoky, dark and brooding Californian red wine like winemaker (and director) Francis Coppola’s Dracula movie. Full-bodied and smooth with black plums and toasty oak. Coppola’s Merlot grapes grow in select vineyards in Napa, Sonoma and Monterey. Full-bodied Californian red wine. Pair this wine with grilled pork chops and movie night.See detailed press review
