The Mendel Cabernet comes from an alluvial vineyard close to the Mendoza River. This is a little riper than the 2013, but has a similar tannin structure, plenty of Cabernet backbone and cassis notes, supporting acidity and very good palate length. Another Mendel wine that is made to age.See detailed press review

Intense sweet cassis fruit, again expressive and very pure. But then darker and more savoury on the palate with a black olive quality. Spicy, firm and peppery. Chewy and firm and rich on the palate but still very fresh. Compact and packed with Cabernet Sauvignon flavour but held in check by the long savoury finish.See detailed press review
