Wonderful aromas of black fruits including cherries and plums are followed by hints of vanilla and violets. The wine is powerful and full-bodied on the palate and it exudes rich flavours of raspeberries, blackberries, and black currants. The notes from the vanilla and sweet spice linger on the long finish.

The youthful and aromatic 2016 Malbec has an alcohol level that is one degree lower than the 2015, as the grapes where harvested earlier because of the problems with the vintage. This ended up being an advantage to produce a light and very drinkable Malbec, balsamic and aromatic, even minty with something that reminded me of basil leaves. The palate is similar to the 2015, a tad fresher, and even if they are very similar in style this 2016 is more exuberant in the aromas. A triumph over the vintage. A perfect introduction to Mendoza Malbec at a very attractive price.See detailed press review
