Wine Advocate on DOMAINE DE LA MORDORÉE

Titre

Since the untimely death of Christophe Delorme last year, the winemaking at Domaine de la Mordorée has fallen to Rémy Chauvet, who was the cellar manager under Christophe for a number of years. Based on these 2015 barrel samples, the estate is obviously still in incredibly capable hands.
Jeb Dunnuck, October 2016

"The La Dame Rousse Tavel is pretty much a classic at this point. Long hailed as one of the world’s great examples of Rosé. The 2017 vintage shows the characteristic blend of red fruit, blood orange and floral aromas. On the palate the wine is both dense and textured, but finishes bright and fresh. The red cherry notes from the nose are mirrored on the palate and are accompanied by complex herbal and mineral notes. The finish is long with just the slightest impression of tannic grip."
Neil Punshon -Tasted at the winery in late May

Wine Advocate, October 2016

Bursting with cherry-scented fruit, the 2016 Cotes du Rhone La Dame Rousse is a worthy value. Deeply concentrated and richly textured for a Côtes du Rhône, it should drink well for 5-8 years.
