The long history of the Montresor family boasts illustrious ancestors, like the Count Claude de Montresor, the prime counsellor of Duke D'Orleans in France in 1600 (his writings, "Memoirs", dating back to 1663, are considered of great interest). Deep ruby red colour with pomegranate reflections, ethereal nose which reminds of peach blossoms, violet, raspberry and mint. On the palate it is intense, refined; it displays full body and smoothness, with clear notes of dried grapes. Ideal with spicy dishes, game and seasoned cheeses. Excellent with parmesan cheese. Traditional vinification was used when creating this Amarone. The harvest was late and the grapes were left to dry until February, when they were then crushed. The must fermented in stainless steel for 4 months and the wine was aged in Slavonian oak casks and French small barrels for 3 years. Once bottled, it rested for 6 months prior to release.
